Looking to Upgrade? Should you go Full Frame for your next D-SLR?

With the advent of full frame D-SLRs a few years ago many pros and amateurs alike were excited to be able to go back to the familiar "35mm" perspective and focal lengths on their lenses. Long limited by technology to APS-C size (about 2/3 the size of 35mm) sensors digital was finally able to go toe to toe with film. But the initial cameras cost nearly $8,000, putting them out of the range of most photographers. But the newest crop of full frame models have brought the costs down to a fraction of that. So should you go back to full frame with your next camera purchase? We'll take a look at some of the models and pros and cons...

Use a Tripod to Boost Image Quality, Composition and Creativity

At BetterPhoto.com, I've seen many photographers improve the overall quality of their work, thanks to the regular use of this valuable accessory: the tripod.

When I started using a tripod consistently for stationary subjects, two awesome things happened: 1)  using a tripod regularly soon became a habit; and better still, 2) my photography improved immediately.

Nice Pants!

When last we looked at B&H as a fashion outlet (Dressing for the Tropics), we seemed fixated on the waist up. People would stop me and say: "But Mike, what about pants?" Everyone needs them, especially pros who benefit from extra padding around the knees and hips, pockets that zip and waterproof, breathable fabric. So, today we visit the changing room, virtual like the rest of our just-try-to-kick-the-tires site.

Digital Backdrops from Savage

Seamless backdrop paper has long been a staple of studio photography. So have muslin backdrops, painted backdrops and other materials that can be rolled up or rolled out as needed. But they also take up room, ultimately need to be replaced, and if you're limited to a few choices, can get old and boring rather quickly. So if you're getting tired of the same old look, or if your client wants something different, you might be interested in Savage Digital Backgrounds

Canon EOS Rebel T2i
